Fellow descendants and researchers of Cornelius Comegys I, son of Cornelius Comen-Ghysen tell me that they pronounce their name CUM-EH-GIZ. Since they are more closely related than I am, (he's my 7th great-grandfather), I'll go with them! <grin>
