I am trying to find addtional information on a Trumin Combs who lived in Illinois in the 1860-1880 era. His first wife was an Elizbeth Lazer, his second wife was named Barbara (?). His children with Elizabeth were named Ebegoras, Stephen, Louisa, and William. I must admit I have been trying to locate him for over 40 years, including an in-depth study of the records located in the Mt. Carmel, Illinois courthouse. According to the 1850 census, he was supposedly born in Tennessee. I have no idea when or where he died. His youngest son died in Vigo county, Indiana and most of his descendants ended up in or around Vincennes, Indiana. Anybody have any ideas?
