Hi,Kim: Join the party. I have been searching for Jesse's parents for years. I just decided to give it another try and have another of our cousins doing the same. I am connected through Zady's sister, Rebecca who married William H. Ledford.
I have found lots of info but not Jesse's parents. I found all of his wives and have tried to fight incorrect info that has been passed along on the internet but no clue as to his parents. Sharon Stanley is connected through Dianna; Joe Piket is connected through Jesse J. who ended up in Florida. I found oldest son, Henry, in Los Angeles in 1920 and William, Henry, Thomas and Mary in Colorado by 1880. I have never located Nancy who was 8 in 1860. There is info, because of a death cert on Jesse J., that says Jesse J's mother was Martha Wilkey but I do not believe that is correct. Sometimes, children or grandchildren get things mixed up and I believe this is the case here. The death certificate also says that Jesse Jay was born in Sequatchie, Tn but Jesse Jay lists over and over that he was born in Wilkes@ Roaring River. I have more info. Jump in and help. Maybe we will make a big discovery.
