Combs/Coombs/Greenwell, S. Maryland, early 1800s

Hello,
I'm searching for my gg-grandmother and have little information. She may have been Mary Ellen Greenwell/Grinnell and her mother was a Coombs or Combs, according to family notes. They were from South Maryland. She married William H. Maginnis and they lived in Washington, D.C.

William had children by two wives which makes matters complicated (for me). I know that at least the second wife was a Mary (b. ~1832, Washington, DC) and one of the wives was probably a Mary Ellen Greenwell.

If anyone has leads, info. much appreciated!

Julie Gibson
