I realize this is an old post but I believe I located the ancestors you mention in your post. My inquiry is actually in respect to 78 yr. old "Cyntha Burns" listed with them in 1850 census.
Your post actually refers to "Burrus", not Burns. Have you confirmed that? My research focus is the BURNS line PA >VA >KY >MO >TX.
