I too search for Elizabeth Calhoun. I believe
this is one generation prior to the Elizabeth
that you search for, however since this
Elizabeth lived in Pulaski, County, Somerset
Ky area, there may be connection. My Elizabeth Colyer was marred ( second wife )
to J. Hiram Calhoun. She was born Ca. 1826-
1832. J Hiram is buried in the Mammond Cem.
Pulaski, Ky. They lived in the Hail area,
near burnside and the Hade are same area.
There are a lot of Colyers buried in the
Hail community cemetary. I seek to know
Elizabeth Colyers parents, her family. I
would assume your Elizabeth is of the next
generation. J Hiram and Elizabeth's last
child was born 1975. I suggest you contact
Ernestine McCart 208 E Oak St, Somerset, KY.
She was worked in funeral homes ( this is
a good source of information as family
records are recorded at times one and two
generations back at the time of death).
Ernestine may be able to help you or give
lead to information.
You Elizabeth could be niece of my Elizabeth,
Perhaps we can locate common links. It was
common for children to be named for a
grandparent, this could help us.
