Norman,

I recently realized that my maternal grandmother's paternal grandmother, Adelaide Esther Walker is a direct descendant of the Walker's you reference. However, I only found back to Thomas Walker and Pamela Davidson (Adelaide's great grand parents). I tried to fill in the gaps between them and Thomas Bethia Chapin Walker and on to Samuel Chapin- but I couldn't. I found 1 Bethia Chapin who married a Thomas April 17, 1750- is this the right one.

Do you have a tree online I could look at? Is there some way to connect?

Incidently, not all of Thomas and Pamela's children stayed in Herkimer Co. Harvey, for example took a daughter and two sons and moved to Fenton, Genesee, MI. He died Dec 22, 1881 and is buried there. His older son Charles William Walker, aka William T. Walker did stay in NY and married Racheal Christina Hotaling. A sister of William's, Charlotte, married Racheal's brother Anthony Hotaling. That was how I found Harvey Walker- the census 1850 I think, had the name transcribed as Wolke, so a regular search wasn't bringing it up.

I appreciate all the info on Josiah Davidson and Rachel Collyer as well. I'll be looking for an answer.
