I am pretty confident that Elijah was my great grandfather. I remember the name from my Grandmother's obituary. Also, I had an Uncle Laverne in which my grandmotehr insisted his name was a family name for a male. My grandmother was Estelle Colyer and she had six children: Harry, Gloria, Eugene, Laverne, Donna, and Diane. My mother was Donna.
