In the books titled the Early Marriages of Jefferson KY-VA a marriage for SERENA COLYEAR and GEORGE ARTERBURN is listed, consent is proven by STEPHEN COLYEAR. This marriage occured around 1836. In another volume their is a marriage listed of MAHALA COLYEAR and WILLIAM ARTERBURN, Mahala is listed as the daughter of JOHN COLYEAR. The date was around 1835-1837. HELP need info on the COLYEAR, are they sisters to Stephen Colyear who married Fatima Evans in the same county and time period. Also a marriage between MATILDA COLYEAR and JOHN TITCHER, she is also listed as a daughter of JOHN COLYEAR.
