Alice McClune, born in Ireland around 1825, came to Armstrong County, Pennsylvania before 1850 and settled in Kittanning with her brothers Hugh and John. She married Alfred Mecklish around 1851 and had two children with him before he died in 1854.
Shortly after Alfred's death, Alice married her neighbor, Thomas Colwell (also spelled Caldwell), like her a native of Ireland.
Alice is buried at Heilman Lutheran Church in Armstrong County. No idea where Thomas wound up.
Does anybody connect to this Colwell/Caldwell line?
