Lloyd:

The fellow she's seeking bought land in Van Buren Co. MI, in 1838. D.D. (Dileno Dexter) is from the Rhode Island-Vermont Colvin clan, but his father, Sanford Jenks5, adopted the Calvin surname as did all of his descendants. Sanford Jenks was the son of Levi4 and Lydia (Jenks) Colvin (Jeremiah3, John2, John1). D.D. Calvin didn't stay in Michigan long; he moved to Garden Island, Frontenac Co., Ontario, Canada, where he became a major shipping magnate and a Member of Parliament.

If D.D. fits in with your people, I can tell you a little bit more about him but not that much. The connection is pretty distant; he'd be my second cousin five times removed (or something like that).

Carol
