Samuel & 2nd wife Arra (Ary Adne McMahen] USC 1880 Calcasieu Parish, LA 7th Ward, ED 12 p 28, line 1, hh 226/226, ch: John F. b ca 1868 AR; Mary E. b ca 1870 LA; Adelaide b ca 1872 LA, [all ch of first wife Louise, plus possibly another child died infancy]; Phineas (Finis S.) age 3 b LA, Hugh B age 1 b LA [ch of 2nd wife Ary]; also Mary B. age 72 mother b SC [this would be mother of Samuel]. WERE THERE OTHER CH OF THIS 2ND MARRIAGE OF SAMUEL TO ARY? Ary Adne McMAHEN m Samuel 7 September 1876. She was the daughter of Hugh Blair McMAHEN and his first wife Elizabeth Hood.
