George Washington Colvin b.1809 Campbell Co., Ky. married #1 Martha Lilly 6/1838 Rankin Co., MS. Married #2 Lydia A.S. Phillips 6/8/1850 Rankin Co., MS. G.W.Colvin d.1879 Jack Co., TX. 1860 Rankin Co., MS Census listed G.W.Colvin, Lydia, (J.E.), M.E., M.?., M.W., & S.W. It was reported by family that their was seven children the youngest was Thomas Layton Colvin b.7/15/1861 Rankin Co., d.2/18/1939 Lee Co., Iowa. It is possible that G.W.Colvins' father was named John or James.
(J.E.) James Elias Colvin b.8/29/1851 Rankin Co. d. 3-31-1892 Jack Co., TX. married Mary Susan Rodgers b.6/26/1859 Tarrant Co., TX. d. 9/6/1936 Donley Co., TX. From this union several children, George James Colvin (twin) my ggGranddad. I do have additional information on James Elias Colvin to date if you are intrested. I would also like any information on G.W.Colvin that you may have.
