I am from Pittsfield,Pike County,Illinois. Abraham Colvin is my great great grandfather. He was born in Ohio and his wife was Elizabeth Smith. She was born in Kentucky.I obtained my information from 1880 census. Their children were (Alonzo) Frank,James,Joseph,Mary,Laurie,Emma, and Charles. Frank married Nora ?Hendircks. Their children were Richard,Ida,Eva,and Glenn. Eva married Selas Weinant. They were my grandparents. Frank and Nora are buried at Oakwood Cemetery (South). Selals and Eva are also buried there. I have talked to Duska Shaw and according to the cemetery records Abraham Colvin paid for 10 graves. There are 2 places without stones and my family has wondered if Abraham and Elizabeth are buried there? The rest of the graves are my grandparents, aunts, uncle, cousins, parents, and my brother. My records showed that James son of Elizabeth and Abraham died and was married to Anna lived in Springfield, died and was buried in Oakridge Cemetery in Springfield,Il. My snag is I can't find anything past that and this past summer came upon obit. for Frank saying his parents died when he was young. If you have anymore info I would appreciate. I have not been able to find any of the brothers or sisters of Frank.
