PULASKI WOMAN HONORED

At the home of John W. Potter up on the old "Pekin Hills," July 25 occurred a genuine surprise party.

Mrs. Lucy Colvin Robinson came to spend her birthday with her little name sake Lucy Margaret Potter whose birthday is also the 20th. Not long after her arrival the guests began to come and it was not long before we had a jolly company. Mrs. Robinson is the mother of ten children, eight of whom are living. There were representatives of seven of her children's families around her, also a few friends and other relatives.

The tables were set under the trees and after a bountiful dinner the day was spent in visiting. There was nothing to mar the happiness of the day only the thoughts of the brother and sister and their families who were unable to be with us.

Those present beside Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were Mr. and Mrs. J. Adams and children, Mildred and Elywyn [sic], Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Flagg and children, Forrest. Earl, Lester, Alice and Pearle, of Pulaski, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Colvin and children, Gertrude, Lucy, George, Anna. Myra Lena and John of Osceola, Mr. Edward Flagg of Syracuse, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gorton and children, Fern and Clarence of Watertown, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Colvin and children, Mattie Pearle, Helen and Fuller of Copenhagen, Mr. and Mrs. W. Montondo of Pulaski and Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Potter and granddaughter, Miss Marion Tubbs of Orwell.

Mrs. Robinson received some very nice presents and at the close of the day they all departed wishing her many more "Happy Birthdays."

Note: The two missing children are Rose Belle Colvin, b. abt. Jan 1880; d. 17 Jan 1913, Camden, Oneida Co., NY [m. James Edward Flagg]; and the youngest son, Francis M. Colvin, b. Jun 1898, d. 29 Jul 1909, when hit by a train.
