Five children survive him, Mrs. Alfred Dingman of South Albion, John Calvin of Ricard, Orin and Levi of Pulaski and Henry of Molino. ____________________ "The Watertown Herald" [Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY], Saturday, 25 Nov 1905: Strychnine which 5-year-old Gladys Colvin mistook for candy and caused the little girl's death Wednesday night. She found the tablets in a trunk and ate about half a grain of the drug. He was born in Ellisburg, May 11, 1838. He lived in that town many years and was engaged in farming. He came to Pulaski about twenty years ago. His wife died several years ago. He is survived by four sons, James. D. Colvin, Richland; Chas. Colvin, of Oneida; Levi B. Colvin, of Ashtabula O., Arthur C. Colvin, of this village, and one daughter, Mrs. Percy Williams, of Macwahoc, Me. Funeral services were held from the home, Sunday, at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. T. Holcombe officiating. ___________________ "The Pulaski Democrat" [Pulaski, Oswego Co., NY], Wednesday, 22 May, 1918, p. 9: DEATH OF HAZEL COLVIN The death of Mildred Hazel Colvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bina Colvin, formerly of this place, occurred Thursday, May 16th; the deceased was 14 years and 5 months of age and always a great favorite among her girl friends. She died after a long illness of typhoid fever. She is survived by her parents and two sisters. The funeral will be held at the house this afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. Sleeman of Altmar officiating. Burial at Pineville. ____________________ "The Pulaski Democrat" [Pulaski, Oswego Co., NY], Wednesday, 23 Dec 1931, p. 8: MRS. CLARA L. COLVIN, 58 Mrs. Clara L. Colvin, widow of the late Henry Colvin, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Scott, Richland, Wednesday, December 16. Mrs. Colvin had been ill since the burning of her home in the Seamans district about two months ago. Her husband died two years ago. Mrs. Colvin was born in the town of Orwell, June 6, 1873, a daughter of Jeremiah Matteson and Sarah Ann Tryon. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Scott, and Mrs. Clarence DeShane of Indiana, and one sister, Mrs. Elmer LaGelle, Sandy Creek. The funeral was held from the Scott home in Richland last Saturday with burial in Pineville cemetery. Rev. Harold H. Barnard officiated. ___________________ Notify Administrator about this message?
