Sorry, but I have nothing on a Henry Dawson of that age.

But, just to add to the Colvin - Dawson - George - and Knight(?) families relationships in Stafford co. and immediate vicinity, I add this note:

A Jean [Jane?] Dawson married George Knight 25 Dec. 1744 in Overwharton Parish, a dt. Elizabeth born there 5 Mar. 1745/46(?), son John born 22 Oct. 1747, dt. Sarah Ann b. 2 Oct. 1753. (This from King's "Overwharton Parish Register".) Any relation to your husband's people?
