Caleb Colvin was born in Jefferson Co. NY on April 19, 1825. He married Caroline Zufelt on Jan. 15, 1843. They arrived in Oregon, June 29 1852 and took up a land claim Sept. 27 1852.
In the 1870 census Caleb and Catherine were living on their own, all children had left home. Lydia F. Colvin had married Jacob Ritchey, Jan. 26 1860. Sarah Jane Colvin had married Thomas Krewson Gardner on Jan. 15 1870 and William Frank Colvin had his own household.
You might start researching in the 1870 census and follow the lines from there.
I descend from Sarah Jane Colvin and have traced her line but have not followed the others. If we are related, let me know.
