I'm looking for info on the family of Charmer Burdette
Colvin. Born 8 Nov 1851, died 5 Dec 1923. He married Mahalia
Shelton (dau. of Thomas Shelton) on 25 Dec 1876. He
married hHis second wife, Gabie, in 1920. She apparently
came from Kentucky.

C.B.Colvin's father was an overseer on a plantation
in Mississippi. C.B. Colvin moved to Tennessee
when he was 12 years old.

C.B. and Mahalia's children were:
Ezra (12 Oct 1895 - 2 Dec 1975) ** My wife's ggrandfather
McGarvey Holmes (5 Dec 1877 - 5 Apr 1879)
Gentry Eddie (10 Nov 1881 - ) died in infancy
Sarah Ellen (9 Nov 1883 - 9 Sep 1908) died in childbirth
Amma (30 Aug 1886 - 17 Nov 1976)
Alta (25 Dec 1888 - 1892) Died of diptheria
Emma (24 Nov 1890 - 4 Nov 1966)
Ira (16 May 1893 - 21 Oct 1967)
Lillie May (31 May 1900 - 16 Jun 1970)
Thomas Franklin (21 Dec 1879 - 2 Dec 1972)
