I believe I am connected to this Colvin family. Jacob and Sally (Hensley) had one son William H (?) Colvin that married a Sarah Elizabeth (?) Barlow in my tree. I believe Sarah's brother Joel (Joseph) was my gggrandfather. At the present am trying to confirm that Sarah and Joseph Barlow are siblings.
It appears that William Colvin served in the same Confederate unit as did Barlow. It appears they both may have served in McCords Frontier Regiment, Texas Cavalry.
I believe I find a William Colvin family in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census still in MO, but loose them after that. Do you have any info on the children of Jacob and Sally Colvin and any further info?
