Thank you for this information.... I am trying to find a connection to my NICHOLS line with COLVIN name.

My grandfather was named Andrew Colvin Nichols and since they used the old naming patterns I feel sure that in one of the lines connected with the Nichols is a Colvin connection... either in the Nichols, Daniell, Walker, or Marshall lines possibly.

My Nichols line was from VA>SC>TN>AR> to Texas in 1836. So really, I guess I am trying to find Texas Colvin's and working backward to find common locations or any family line connections.
