Hello Colvins!
At this time I'm researching my husband's lineage. Any help would be most appreciated.
I need info on one Joseph Colvin b.1841 in KY, m.Mary C. according to the 1880 census from the LDS site. Who were his parents? Census shows they were both born in KY as well. His son George Thomas was b.1876 and m.Annie B(?) Crawford; fathered William who is my husband's father.
NOTE: One source I've found lists his wife as Mary Elizabeth Dickerson, but the marriage record I found from Greene Co, VA dated Nov 4,1858 shows different. She is listed as Carrie M. Crenshaw meaning she could have dropped 'Carrie' and kept 'Crenshaw' as a middle name; which we know to be a common practice to this day!
