Both Andrew Colville and Samuel Colville fought in the Battle of King's Mountain. I found both listed in Lewis Preston Summers book "History of Southwest Virginia & Washington County Virginia." I think they must have both been sons of Joseph Colville, but I don't have proof of the relationships.

Andrew Colville was listed as a Captain, and Samuel Colville was listed as: "Wounded, died November 20, 1780. The spelling of the surname was shown as "COLVILL" on both. There are extensive references to Andrew in the Summers book, but only the one reference to Samuel.

I descend from Joseph Colville and Elizabeth (WILSON or VANCE)'s daughter (Nancy?)Ann Colville who married Samuel Evans, also a Revolutionary War soldier. I'm in the D.A.R. on a different line, but I am currently working on EVANS/COLVILLE, so if you find that you descend from Andrew or Samuel, I'll be happy to e-mail you scans from the book which is out of print.
