Hi,
I'm compiling my family tree and looking for information on the family. I've traced it back as far as a man Edward Frances Colter who married Rebecca Osborn. They lived in Putnam County (perhaps Unionville) Missouri circa 1850s.
Rebecca Osborn was born 1848 Putnam County...
They had several children Ira (married Sarah Elisabeth Carter), John Henry Osborn, Ellen Jane Colter, Frank Colter (children Lee & Mary), Aaron Clive Colter, Edward E. Colter, Evert Charles, Rebecca Colter and Willie Colter...
Ira Colter married Sarah Elisabeth Carter in Putnam County...together they had Irene Rowena (my great grandmother), Laura Thelma, Dennis Captain, Faye Josephine, Myrtle Lorrie, Velma Evelyn, Martin Prairie, Violet and possibly a Mabel...
