Sabrina, Is there any chance that your first name is an old family name? The reason I asked is that I was research a Silas Beverly on the 1860 census....I think his mother's name was Sabrina.

Anyway, living in the house with him were seven Colson children. No father or mother listed. There was a Sabrina, age 13. She would have been born about 1847. The other seven were all males.
J. J. Colson, 22,
Collin Colson, 18,
David, 16
Sabrina, 13
Silas,11
Nobel V. 8
Robert H. 5

This might be a place to start looking to see if one of the men passed the sister's name down. It wasn't a common name in that area in 1860.
