Okay, I re-read what I wrote last year. Thanks for that input. I had already seen that. But if Dr. Alfred W. Bethea raised William B. Colquitt,who was born in about 1809, then William was older than the man who was raising him cause Alfred W. Bethea wasn't born until 1816. So I don't believe he was remembering correctly. Perhaps it was Alfred W. Bethea's dad that was raising them both. So the ? remains. Which sister of Alfred W. Bethea's was Alfred Bethea Colquitt's grandmother(who married Alfred Colquitt and gave birth to William Bethea Colquitt). The Bethea folks have much info on their family and there is no indication of any daughter marrying a Colquitt. It is most certain that William Bethea Colquitt married Mary Miles and had Alfred and many more. However, in Mary's father, David Miles, will, David spells her name as Mary Colcot. So there are way too many variations of the spelling! Help I want to know who the mother of William Bethea Colquitt was all you Bethea folks out there! PLEASE.
