The Colquitt family from Cumberland County, Va. could be a place to look. Hezekiah Colquitt shows more than two people in his household in the 1782 census, but I've yet to find records of any children. William B. Colquitt moved to Alabama and died there. Check Pike, Bullock and Crenshaw Counties in Al., there are numerous records there. This family spelled their name on records in SC as Calcot, Calcut and other spellings, but the spelling in Alabama was Colquett.
