The info I have on George Travis Colquitt is as follows:
Born July 13, 1825, married Mary E.(Settle)Oglesby, Dec. 14th,1871. Mary had been married before to an Osgleby and had two children by this marriage.
G. T. Colquitt was still a member of Van's Valley Church, Floyd Co. Ga. in 1891, there may be a tombstone there. In the book "This They Remembered" on page 20, it states that G.T. Colquitt was wounded June 18th, 1864 at Petersburg, two days after the battle of Drury's Bluff, fought on May 16th, 1864. T.D. Colquitt, George's brother had been killed Sept.16th, 1862 at the battle of Sharpsburg, They both had been members of the "Gilmer Blues" from Oglethorpe Co. Ga. They were in Co. K Sixth Georgia Regiment, commanded by Colonel Alfred H. Colquitt
