I believe the Hannah referred to is too young to have been daughter of John Colquitt and Elizabeth Hendrick. Data in the Colquitt volume of Judge Zelma Wells Price's genealogy shows six children for John & Eliz. (Hendrick) Collquitt as follows:
(1) Mary Ann Hawes Colquitt, b. 17 Feb 1755 Cumberland Co, VA.
(2) Robert Colquitt, b. 9 Oct 1759 Cumberland Co, VA, d. 6 Jan 1834 Oglethorpe Co, GA, md. Susanna Hubbard.
(3) Samuel Colquitt b. 10 Mar 1762 Cumberland Co, VA, d. 16 Aug 1834 Franklin Co,TN, md. 1788 to Martha "Mollie" Woodruff (this is line of descent of Yvonne Cates Barton)
(4) William Colquitt b. 9 Sep 1767
(5) Hannah Colquitt, b. 6 Jul 1771 Cumberland Co, GA, said to have md. Robert Smith of Oglethorpe Co, GA. (6) Sarah Colquitt b. 15 Aug 1773 Cumberland Co, VA, d. Oglethorpe Co, GA, md. 1793 in Cumberland Co, VA to Beverly Guthrey or Guthrie.
Judge Price's work shows no children of Hanna and Mr. Smith. There is, however, a Hannah Jane Colquitt (b. 7 Mar 1795 Oglethorpe Co GA shown as one of the twelve children of Samuel Colquitt and Martha "Mollie" Woodruff. Could this be your Hanna? No marriage is shown by Judge Price for this Hannah. Does the year of birth 1795 fit with your data?
