Mandy: I have a book on the Colquit Family. John B. Jackson and Mary Colquitt were married in Oglethorpe County on May 4, 1836.Almeda Jane Jackson, born 1837, was the oldest child of John and Mary. Almeda married George W. Williamson. Their son, Woodson Lafayette Williamson (born 11/19/1857, married Flora Ethleen Hardman (born 6/18/1858)-died 5/17/1942) 12/11/1878. Flora was the daughter of Elizabeth Susan Colquitt Hardman. Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry Parker Colquitt an Mildred Pinson Colquitt. Elizabeth born 3/7/1831 - died 1/25/1903; buried in family cemetery Jackson Co. GA. M. 1/2/1851 in Oglethorpe Co. to William Benjamin Johnson Hardman b. 11/23/1822 - d. 8/21/1904, also buried in family cemetery. William Benjamin was a physician and surgeon 1849-1874; a Baptist minister from 1874 to date of death. Elizabeth's son Lamartine Griffin Hardman was Gov. of Ga. 7/1927-6/27/1931.
I hope this helps. Let me know if it does. Gwen Colquitt Sides
