I have always assumed that the "Uncle William B. Calcoat" mentioned in My ggrandfather's letter was Hannah's brother. She and Jesse Gulley married in Cumberland Co NC 12 December 1827. She was born 5 September 1812. She is probably the niece of the Hannah in your line. She did use the names Robert, Sarah, Hannah, and William for her own children, so that may indicate a connection Have you ever seen the name "CALCOAT"?
