See census for Gibson County, Tn., 1860 and 1870 shows a Green Colquitt and family in household # 71 and an E. Colquitt, female, age 72, born in North Carolina, household # 72 (1870 census). See query (Elizabeth Kaspar) Williamson county, Tn., showing Robert Colquitt, son of Ransome Colquitt, married to Edith Vernon, daughter of Richard Vernon. They moved from Rockingham County, NC. to Tennessee in the early 1800's. 1880 census, Cache, Lawrence, Arkansas shows Green Colquitt and wife Francis, with sons Robert, Richard, Augustus, Henry, Samuel, Joseph, and daughter Francis. Also Thomas Vernon, nephew, Nancy Branson, sister-in-law, and Ellen Branson, neice.

I hope this helps,
Troy Colquitt
