O.B.Colquitt was my grandfather and I knew him rather well. Elise Colquitt Gardner is my half-sister. Elise was the eldest of 3 daughters to my fathers' 1st marriage. I was the 2nd born to his 2nd marriage. Your grandfather, Keith Whitmer, is technically my nephew; however,he is only 4 years younger.

The family tree you are refering to was researched and constructed by O.B.C. and it hung over his roll top desk in his study at his Live Oak St home in Dallas. After, grandfathe's death the tree passed to Elice and she later had it copied and framed with the various coat of arms done in color. The original was in pretty bad shape,in black & white, and Elice gave it to me.

The genealogy is accurate back to the 1700's. However, it is suspect regarding information prior to 1700 and more research needs to be done to establish a factual basis for the family in the Channel Islands.

Good Luck!
