This may be a long shot but it is a very good chance that one of my wife's ancestors was a Colquitt as one of the sons of a direct ancestor was given that name. See below.

I. Mary (--?--). She was born circa 1811 in GA. Her only known daughter was Susannah BENNETT b:1849 in AL. M:Francis Jackson YELVERTON. She left Dale County, AL with Frank and moved to Texas in 1873. She d:1917. Children were: 1. Henry >>>Colquitt<<< YELVERTON married Sarah Matilda LAWSON. He was born in 1873 in AL. 2. Kenneth Clint YELVERTON married Elizabeth Julia GAYLE, 3. Minnie YELVERTON was born on 15 November 1884. 4. Roy YELVERTON was killed by run-away horse as a child.
