Then I am afraid I cannot help you more than to tell you this: Newcastle is, I believe, in County Durham, which is where my ancestors came from (the name Colpitts refers to the coal mines of the region, called "pits"). Please let me know if, at any point in time, you are interested in finding any further connections between this family and mine. I am sure we have a common ancestor back in England somewhere as all the Colpitts I have ever heard of are related to each other. For other information, you might just check census records and/or military records.
