I respectfully submit that Y-DNA markers are not a good test to follow in Latin America, for they test only paternal line rather than family proximity. A test for Y-DNA markers of first cousins children of brother and sister will show that they are not related at all!!!!

Since last names were not correlated to paternal lines in the past for several reasons that go from using a maternal granfather's last name in order to inherit a title, to being born out of wedlock, you cannot conclude so easily that they are not related.
