Oscar,
Thanks for your reply. Where to start? Isaac Pardo came fromo Hamburg though his parents were from Amsterdam, and he is a nephew of the Isaac Pardo who settled in Curacao and whose will I was able to locate in the UK Archives. You may want to check them as they have over 1400 entries for Pardo, across the world. My ancestor was a Sephardic Jew,as you mention, but in time the family split, some becoming Catholic.

I had a third cousin, Henry Pardo Pardo (his father married a Pardo cousin from Paris)who lived in Colombia between the wars. He was Isaac Pardo's great grand son and my father's third cousin. I don't know whether he had any children in Colombia and that is what I am trying to find out. I know there are lots of Pardo in Colombia (in all Latin America, for that matter), but I have not had any contact with any. Unfortunately I don 't think he was any relation to your ancestors-there is a gap in the ages :-).

Please contact me directly and we can exchange more details. mecanelda@msn.com

Thanks,
Daniel
