Approximately 1830, Ellen Collopy of Limerick married Dennis Kinney. They had four children. Ellen appears to be the daughter of a Thomas Collopy/Collipy and Margaret Hennessey. I have no information on Dennis's parents. Ellen died approximately 1842-45. Dennis left for the US (1846-47) and settled in Columbiana, Ohio and remarried and fathered another four children. His first four children also came to the US (1847-48) and seemed to reconnect with Dennis in Ohio and then when of age left and went south and west. Some may have gone to Iowa or Indiana. One, William Kinney settled in Caddo parish, Louisiana. One of William's children (first daughter) was named Ella. She died before she reached majority age. It stands to reason that Dennis's other children, which included at least one or two other brothers, named their daughters Ellen in memory of their mother. I am hoping to find information about Dennis's parents and Dennis's other children of both the first and second marriage. If any of this sounds familiar please reply. Thanks.
