Thomas Collis - Possibly from Hampshire
Posted by: Denis Collis (ID *****3893) Date: December 06, 2005 at 14:33:10
In Reply to: Thomas Collis, born in England about 1775-95, by Denis Collis of 375

Harry Collis (Thomas' great-grandson) Married Olive Ann Beaumont-Smith. She was from Beckenham, Kent and they settled there. Harry was a journeyman (house decorator) and it is possible that he was originally from Hampshire (30 Miles across Surrey to Kent).

I have no marriage record for Thomas, but his son:
Henry Collis m. Matilda Cooke, 19 Jul 1840. His son:
Henry Alfred Collis m. Emily Wiseman, 2 Apr 1876. His son:
Harry Collis m. Olive Ann Beaumont-Smith, 31 Mar 1902.
