We too have a John Collinsworth in our line. John was the father of Moses B. Collinsworth born 1810 in VA. We found Moses in the 1850 census for Pike Co KY. He married Margaret Mary Ratliff and at that time he had 9 children. the only info that we have on John is that he was born in VA, but I have recently been informed that during that time frame Va included KY OH IL IN WV TN and part of PA. So they could have wound up anywhere when they rewrote the state maps. I hope this helps. If we get a connection let me know if I can help with other info. Thanks
