John, Thank you so much for taking the time to post this information. I am compiling the history of all of the Collinsworth family lines (my mother is a Collinsworth), and had not realized that three of John Henry's daughters had married into this Collinsworth "branch" or that Alic Hobert Collinsworth married Tressa Marie Martin after the death of Laura May Stanley. I would appreciate help from anyone who reads this regarding John Henry Collinsworth's parents' names so I can connect this line to the other family "branches". John Henry Collinsworth's father is "J. J.", per his obit. "J J" Collinsworth has been difficult to locate. Although the WorldFamilyTree lists John Henry's father as J J Collinsworth born 24 Oct 1849, this is the birth date of John J Collinsworth, brother of Farwick Collinsworth (my g-g grandfather, who is buried at the Collinsworth Family Cemetery in Plano, Texas. John J Collinsworth, husband of Francis Corbin, died in 1909. In the May 1934 obit of John Henry, his parents "Mr. and Mrs. J J Collinsworth" of Manardsville, TN" were still living. Manardsville is the home place of Farwick's and John J's (both buried in the Plano TX Family Collinsworth Cemetery) parents John & Rebecca Clarkson Collinsworth – so John Henry must be part of this extended family group. I will keep looking!. There is also a John J Collinsworth born 1860 at age 10 with his sister Martha, age 11, living in the Pennington Household in the 1870 census at Yokum Station, Lee, TN. He was the son of Jacob Collinsworth and Rachel Pennington, but moved to MO and not Texas. I am a descendant of Farwick M & Lucy Rowlett Collinsworth > William Sephus Collinsworth of Lee County VA, Claiborne County TN, and Collin County, TX. Another clue is that in the 1910 census John Henry Collinsworth is living next door to Sam and Martha V. (Williams) Odom (my great grandmother's, Julia Martin (Williams) Thomas’s sister). The Williams and Thomas Family lines are closely related to the Collinsworths. Thanks again! Charlotte Notify Administrator about this message?
