There were 2 james Collinsworths in Nashville at the end of the 1700's. The older James and my direct ancestor married Jane (Jennie) Brown in July of 1794. The younger James was the son of Edmond/Edmund/Edward (whichever) he became a lawyer and eventually went to Texas and fought in the Texas War of Independence. Later he ran for President of the Republic but fell overboard from a ship in Houston, TX harbor where he drowned. I don't think he ever married and I know of no children of his.
