This John F. Collins who is in Clinch County, GA, in the 1860 census is ... I believe ... the same John F. Collins found in the 1850 census for Baker County, GA.
================
1850 Census:Georgia, Baker County
Collins, John F. 34Ga(1816)
Alipa 37?GA(1813?)
Sarah 16Fla
Mary 14ditto
Amanda 9GA
Elizabeth 7(b. ca. 1843)
John C.? 2(b. ca. 1848)
Thompson, James 19Ga
Collins, Caroline 4ditto
=============
In the 1850 census for Baker County, GA, we also find:
1850 Census:Georgia, Baker County
Musgrove, Goodwin 25 (b. ca. 1825) Ga
Hessa 20 (b. ca. 1830 ) Ga
John 6(b. ca. 1844) Ga
Musgrove, William W. 55 (b. ca. 1795) Ga
Jana 50 (b. ca. 1800) Ga
Kinchen (male) 16 (b. ca. 18340 Ga
=====================
It has seemed to me, but unable to prove, that this John F. of Baker County and Elizabeth Musgrove (is "Hessa" Elizabeth?) are the same people we find in Clinch County in 1860.John Musgrove would be the same David (Musgrove) Collins in the new household along with his brothers(?) Charles and James.
1860 Census:Georgia, Clinch County
Collins, John F. 45Ga
Elizabeth 36ditto
David 13
Charles 11
James 8
=======================================
Following through with this tangled theory, then could Elizabeth (daughter of John F. and Alipha Collins of Baker County) be the wife of John David Musgrove?
Let me know what you think.
