Hey J.B.,

I came across your ancestry information for Floyd Collins, and wanted to see if you had the parents and grandparents of Francis Marion Collins, Floyd's grandfather.

I'm originally from Overton County, Tennessee and my granddad has always said that we're related to Floyd. So, in my research of my Collins ancestor William Collins, I wanted to research to prove we're in fact related to Floyd. The way I see it, if Francis Marion's father was a brother to my William, then we're in fact related.

William was born in 1810 in Kentucky, however, county origin and parents are unknown. It was told by a relative that William was from Barren County, which, according to the locale of Floyd and his family, they were from neighboring counties to Barren, ie., Logan, Allen, or somewhere close.

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bryan Collins
Nashville, TN
