Sue Ann, this is a reply to your question about James W Collins. The older brother to my Robert Martin Collins was a James W Collins, born in 1836/1837 probably in Franklin County, which became Coffee County,TN. His father was Lewis Collins and his mother was Frances Haggard Collins. So I don't believe your James Collins was the same person. I am currently trying to find my James W Collins in later years in TN. I believe he married in TN, probably in Marshall County, TN where Robert Haggard , who was James guardian, lived in 1860. I would appreciate any help if anyone knows of my James W. Collins.
