I'm looking for some help connecting my William Collins with Martha Snell. There are many sources out there that claim William Collins, son of Thomas & Susannah Collins married Martha Snell 16 Sep 1766, Orange Co, Va. - and that they had a son Edward Collins, who married Hannah Holt. Does anyone have or has anyone seen the marriage record or any other record that shows the proof of this connection. I have seen the marriage record on ancesty, but it only gives the date, county, and names....I'm looking for something more (proof) for my records.
