I am researching a James Collins. He was born in 1844 in Tenn and married a Rachel Walters. His family has him as James C, but some have him as James W. I am waiting on the discharge papers from Whitley Co (should have tomorrow) that has him as James W., his death certificate does not give a middle initial, or the names of his parents. Does say his mother was born in Tenn, but no name.
