SARAH H. COLLINS (b 28 May 1815, d 24 April 1845) lived in Mifflin, Ten. She married SAMUEL PEARCE (b 9 April 1812 in South Mills, N.C., d 3 Feb 1876 in Mifflin, Tenn.) Children: JEREMIAH DILLON PEARCE (b 4 Mar 1837, d 13 Feb 1901), MARTHA FRANCES PEARCE (b 29 Sep 1838), PETER MCBRIDE PEARCE (b 10 Aug 1840, d 8 Sep 1904), JAMES STARKE PEARCE (b 21 Aug 1842, d 17 Oct 1921), and JOHN WILLIAM PEARCE (b 4 Nov 1845, d 30 Apr 1846).
Sarah’s sister was LUCY COLLINS who married Samuel’s brother JOHN PEARCE (b 6 Jan 1800 d 16 Jul 1875). Children: MADELLA PEARCE (b ?), IRA B PEARCE (b abt 1831, d 6 Jan 1860), SARAH PEARCE (b abt 1833), HENRY C PEARCE (b abt 1834), WILLIAM C PEARCE (b 13 Mar 1836, d 25 Mar 1889), MARY PEARCE (b 24 Nov 1850), AMANDA PEARCE (b abt 1841), SAMUEL PEARCE (b Abt 1845), LUCY A. PEARCE (b Abt 1848, and APOLIS PEARCE (b Abt 1849).
Samuel and John Pearce were born in the South Mills, Camden County, North Carolina. John and Sarah along with John’s brother, JEREMIAH SIMMONS PEARCE, moved to Independence County of Arkansas by 1860.
I have a lot of good data on the Pearce lineage that I will be glad to share, but nothing on the Collins lineage. Does anyone have any data on the Collins family?
