I once knew a Collins man from Alberta, who said he had Native American ancestry from the US, and told how an American Indian left Oklahoma and moved to western Canada generations ago.He felt he had Cherokee roots in Georgia, and the Georgia Cherokees went to Oklahoma in the 1830's. One of the Native Americans, named Collins, escaped from the Reservation and went to Canada, I do not know when.
