Hi Nicola,
I have looked a long time for information on this family. I wrote what I found out, but in the end I think hard evidence is the key (such as birth certificate, etc.) I hope this is helpful. Jana Dunford

Mary Patience Collingwood was born and married in England. She married Anthony Denny, Esquire. It appears that they moved to Ireland after their marriage.

Sarah Blackett Denny married Sir John Stephen Robinson. It is not clear whether Sarah Blackett Denny was actually born in Ireland in 1830 or England in 1819 or if there were two with the same name.

They had Sir Gerald William Collingwood Robinson born 1857, died 1903.

They had Maud Helena Collingwood Robinson on 5 Sep 1865 of Rokeby Hall, Louth, Ireland. She died 11 May 1912.

Maud married Richard Johnston Montgomery on 25 March 1890 Ballymakenny, Louth, Ireland. They had 3 children who all died in their infancy.

John Gerald Richard Collingwood Montgomery
Bertram Richard Thomas Montgomery
Maud Rosa Mabella Montgomery

Richard Johnston Montgomery also married a Mary Patience Collingwood who died in 1952.

On the following website there is a Sir Richard Collingwood Robinson listed, born 3 Oct 1842. However, the information on this page is too sketchy for me to credit his family link.

On the following website www.william1.co.uk/w142.htm there is a great deal of detailed information about this family. Please look it over as the person you may be looking for may be a relative instead. If you scroll down to A3 Sir John Freind and view his descendants, things become quite clear.
